Overview

When the owner of a brand-new beauty salon approached me with a request to create their website, I knew it was an exciting opportunity. During our initial meeting, I used a detailed discovery questionnaire to understand their goals and vision. With a clear picture in mind, I embarked on the project, fully aware of the tight deadline: the website needed to be designed and developed in just one month. Thanks to a well-structured plan and focused work, I was confident we could meet this challenge.

Research and Strategy

To ensure the website stood out, I collaborated with the salon's main cosmetologist to conduct a comprehensive competitive analysis. We discovered that many competitors websites suffered from outdated designs, lacked responsive features, had poor text contrast, and offered complicated navigation, leading to a frustrating user experience.

Armed with this knowledge, I conducted interviews with both clients and cosmetologists to gather insights and refine the website requirements. The primary goals for the new website were clear:
- Intuitive and user-friendly navigation
- Minimalistic, fast-loading website
- Seamless experience across both desktop and mobile platforms
